Helambu Trekking

10 days

Helambu introduces trekking in Nepal with its unforgettable picturesque sceneries along lush forests and rural villages. It offers an affordable option for those who are short of time. Yet, surprisingly, this easily accessible trekking trail is secluded and mostly shy of trekkers and travelers; a delight for those who hate crowds.

Helambu Trek starts with a climb up the lush forests of Shivapuri National Park and runs through scenic rural villages surrounded by fields and regal Buddhist monasteries. Memories of the tranquil landscape and marvelous panoramas of the surrounding peaks will stay with you for a lifetime.

The trek begins with a short ride from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, a favorite picnic spot for city dwellers wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of the metropolis. Then, we climb to the ridge top village of Chisapani with dramatic views of the mountains. The route travels deeper into the Helambu region with a wide diversity of scenery and landscape, mountain views and visits to monasteries. Eventually we make our way down through fertile hills to Melamchi Pul Bazaar followed by a scenic ride back to Kathmandu.
